Soprano Danielle Munsell Howard Presents a Program of Underrepresented Composers

Danielle Munsell Howard, a soprano whose repertoire ranges from Bach to Stravinsky, will perform a program of late 19th- to 21st-century music by underrepresented women, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ composers during this year's festival. She'll be accompanied by pianist William Braun.

The free performance is scheduled for Friday, September 22, at 4:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Guilford.

Howard has performed with the American Bach Soloists, Amherst Early Music Festival, Boulder Bach Festival, the Yale Collegium Soloists, Princeton Pro Musica and many contemporary choral and chamber ensembles. She debuted in New York in La Corona at Merkin Hall with the Queen’s Chamber Band and has sung internationally in Germany, Austria, France, Mexico and The Netherlands. Her recordings include Gluck’s one-act operas, Il Parnaso Confuso and La Corona.

Howard co-owns Breakwater Books, Guilford's downtown independent bookstore.
