NewAlliance Foundation Awards GreenStage Grant for Second Year

greenstageguilford

New Alliance Foundation, a private foundation whose mission is to advance literacy, build communities and dismantle systems that perpetuate poverty and racism, has awarded GreenStage a $1,000 grant.

The funds will be used to expand and increase the diversity of audiences for the 2025 GreenStage Live Arts Festival, which will take place in downtown Guilford August 10-17. We’ll devote funds to outreach throughout the Shoreline and southern and central Connecticut, engaging with communities of color and organizations representing diverse cultures, seniors, LGBTQ+, individuals, and those with cognitive, emotional and physical differences.

The initiative is part of our effort to increase the number of members of the above groups who can participate in and benefit from GreenStage events, and to increase the diversity of our board, volunteer and vendor pool, partnerships and donor base.

This is the second time NewAlliance Foundation has granted GreenStage funds for our biennial festival; their grant in 2023 helped fund our multicultural performances, workshops and after-show talkbacks. We appreciate their continued support!
