The Rotary Club of Guilford has awarded GreenStage a $1,000 grant to help fund educational programming for this fall's festival. We'll use the funds to support participatory programs in Middle Eastern belly dancing, Puerto Rican Bomba music and dance, mystical music and stories from the Turkmens region of Central Asia, classical dance of India, Ukrainian choral singing and a dance/movement residency for people of all abilities. At left, Guilford Rotary President Dawn Jackson presented the check to GreenStage Executive Director Peter Hawes at the club's meeting on July 19. We're grateful to Guilford Rotary for its support of the festival for several seasons running!
